To participate in the poster session, it is desirable to use three platforms simultaneously: Zoom, VCC, and Mozilla Hubs, although two of them may be sufficient.

Zoom is probably the most popular right now, so we assume everyone is familiar with it (http://zoom.us/). We use Zoom for global voice communications and video streaming for those unable to run VCC. The screen sharing function for participants is intentionally blocked. It is recommended to keep the microphone off in Zoom whenever it is not needed.

VCC (Virtual Convention Center) is a platform developed at NRNU MEPhI. Currently requires Windows and a non-integrated graphics card. The link to the VCC installer is updated one hour before the poster session starts. (after receiving the link, follow the installation instructions):

Downloading can take time as the size is in gigabytes. VCC allows sessions in any format. Instructions are available on the website https://bica2020.bicasociety.org/live/

VCC Demonstration:


Mozilla Hubs (MH) allows private small group conversations during a crowded poster session with local voice chat support. We use the same division of the poster session into rooms (or "layers" of one room) in VCC and MH.
